Keretapi Sarong: Cultural Ride by Malaysians, for Malaysia
14
Sep

Did you manage to join Keretapi Sarong 2025 last Saturday?

From trains to traditions, the Keretapi Sarong movement reminds us that culture is a living, breathing story and it is carried not just in fabric, but also in the words, songs, and languages we share. đŸŒș

At ILTI, we believe language is the bridge that lets us truly celebrate and connect with Malaysia’s rich diversity. After all, what’s culture without the words to express it?

Read our latest blog to see how heritage and language go hand in hand — and why learning English can make every journey even more meaningful.

The Power of “Yet”: Why You’re Not Bad at Something, You’re Just Not There Yet
04
Sep

From Meghan Markle’s podcast to everyday classrooms, The Power of Yet reminds us that growth is a journey. At ILTI, we believe the same applies to language learning, where mistakes aren’t setbacks, they’re stepping stones. đŸŒ±

So, the next time you say, “I can’t write fluently” or “I’m not confident speaking English,” remember, it’s not that you can’t, it’s just that you’re not there yet. And with the right guidance, practice, and encouragement, you will get there.

Curious to know more? Check out our latest blog post and see how this simple but powerful mindset can transform your learning journey with us at ILTI.

“At our schools today, we make it our mission to teach children not only academics but also life skills, because we believe these two are inextricably linked.”

Just like Ms Evelyn says, every lesson at ILTI is more than academics. It’s also about building confidence and life skills. Here’s a peek at what our students were up to this week:

Starters – Our Starters students had a big week of revision where they reviewed topics from food and clothes to hobbies and the beach. With lots of practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing, they’re growing more confident and ready for their upcoming tests.

Upper PET – Our Upper PET class explored Sharing and Caring while learning conditionals. Through role plays, discussions, and writing tasks, they practised grammar and also reflected on kindness and responsibility. Find out more about their fun week in this week’s newsletter now!
