Interactive tuition classes to help everyone learn in lockdown
Dear students who have signed up for our upcoming interactive tuition classes in July and August, are you buzzing to start this Thursday? Before we do, here’s a little sneak peek of what to expect.
We may not be attending school physically now but we still get daily school work from our school teachers under the home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) programme. Sometimes, the homework can be a little bit overwhelming as there is no one to ask for help.
Well, worry not. Our team of experienced teachers, namely, Miss Paveswari Sithambaranathan, Miss Caroline Samuel and Miss Yao Jia Qi, will be available to answer any questions you may have pertaining to your homework and school syllabus during the online tuition classes, which is why we have called it interactive learning. The teachers will be doing their best to keep you abreast with your school work.
Miss Paveswari has given her assurance that not only can students ask for assistance during their respective online tuition slots but they can also email the teachers should they face any problems with their homework.
“Not all parents work from home despite the lockdown and even those who do may not be be able to monitor their children’s school work.
“Besides assisting the students with their assigned school work, we will also be giving out extra worksheets and exercises. The students can let us know what lessons they need to brush up on.
“Whatever they want to ask, they can do so. There are no restrictions on which chapter they can learn,” she said.
Miss Paveswari will be teaching General Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. Armed with a PhD in Chemical Engineering, she has 10 years of experience tutoring, and has also taught IGSCE Science and Mathematics for Lower and Upper Secondary. She has previously worked at the Shell Refining Company Bhd, and conducted research at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia during her tenure there as a research assistant.
Helping primary students thrive in Mandarin is Miss Yao. A Japanese Language graduate from Hua Qiao University, China, she currently teaches HSK Mandarin and has previously worked in China and South America. She is fluent in Mandarin, English, Japanese and the Cantonese dialect.
Meanwhile, Miss Caroline will be teaching English and Bahasa Melayu to all levels. In English, she has produced top scoring students in the IGCSE, MOET, TOEFL and IELTS exams during her 26 years of teaching at various national and international schools. She also teaches Bahasa Melayu to students sitting for the UPSR, PT3 and SPM examinations. Miss Caroline has a Masters in Education from Asia E. University.
“Besides helping them in their school work, students will be coached in vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and composition, in both English and Bahasa Melayu,” said Miss Caroline.
As part of our group’s care programme during the MCO, Tuition Labz is pleased to offer online tuition classes for free, with a registration fee of only RM20 per subject for July and August, to help primary and secondary students thrive despite the pandemic.
